 $5o is ridiculous! Actually the dropouts may have been $25 but that's still not too bad.

 The dropouts are very strong but the little tab that holds the derailleur will bend if hit hard enough. I ordered two drive side dropouts so i'd have a spare and they're about $20 a pop if I remember correctly.

 My quake has been broken for exactly two weeks. A stick wrapped up in my spokes ripping my rear derailleur in half and bending my chain and rear dropout. The chain and rear d are easy enough to get but the dropouts/derailleur hanger need to be shipped from marin to Pedalshop then Pedalshop to me which sucks.

I have not yet ridden the Clemson DH trail on my Quake but I bought a nice used dirt jump bike which I've been using for DH and DJ's. It's an Azonic Fiend with a zoke dj2 fork. DH with only a rear brake is interesting haha.

Anyway, your Quake looks sick you will enjoy it for sure.
